Say bye to glasses : TV, computer displays to adjust to your vision needs

Say bye to glasses : TV, computer displays to adjust to your vision needs

With the new age technology, it has become almost impossible for a person to avoid a situation that involves looking at a screen for hours and hours together, whether it be glued to your TV screen, Laptop screen or the best of all your palm-size Smartphone screen. As the vision of all the tech giants of the world is broadening to introduce more and more improved devices, the vision of an average individual is narrowing which requires him to rely on vision correction methods. Ah! The suffering!! Well, you know what, there is some good news for those already affected & for those who are about to. A technology is being developed in a collaborative effort by MIT & Microsoft, in which they are trying to create a screen that alters the image displayed as per the vision correction requirement of the user. For this technology to actually work, they are coming up with an algorithm that alters the light emitted by the pixels, which then passes through a filter in front of the display & reaches the retina as a more focused & clear image, by using a motion tracking sense to determine the user’s distance from the screen. Researchers tested their technology using a Cannon DSLR camera, and end result produced a clearer image without any compromise to contrast. This means, that if this technology is successfully developed & used in all types of screens, then not only would that eliminate the problem of diminishing eyesight but also eliminate the need for vision correction glasses. This also means that all of you who are fixated on your mobile screens can glare away without an ounce of worry in your hair. Fingers crossed!!!

Xiaomi to hit the next level with the launch of the Mi 4 this December

XIAOMI TO HIT THE NEXT LEVEL WITH THE LAUNCH OF MI 4 THIS DECEMBER

After the success of the Mi 3 and the overwhelming response to the registration of the Redmi 1S, Xiaomi is preparing to launch its flagship smartphone, the Mi 4 this December in India. The devices are expected to come in two variants. The phones haven’t yet been manufactured as they need to be calibrated to India specific conditions. They  will be made TDD-LTE and FDD-LTE compatible for India. The devices are expected to be priced at Rs. 22,000 and Rs. 25,000.

Just like the Mi 3, Xiaomi is expected to come up with another revolutionary device in the Indian smartphone market. The features on the Mi 4 are as impressive and aspirational as its predecessor. The phone runs on Android Kitkat 4.4.3 based MIUI 5 and might be upgraded to MIUI 6 by the time it comes to India. It is powered by a Snapdragon 801 chipset which is clocked at 2.5 GHz. It holds 3 GB of RAM, which is a lot of RAM for the price point, and comes in 16 and 64 GB variants. Talking in terms of the display on the device it is going to be a full HD 5 inch screen with a pixel density of 441 ppi. It is packed with a 13 MP camera on the back and an 8 MP front shooter.

Looking at the price difference of the two variants, it will be good to see what Xiaomi has in store for the Indian consumers.
